| In 2003 we had the opportunity to lease a great old stud
named SKIP GO GRAND. He was 22 years old the summer he was at our
place. A national champion when he was younger, he had aged well.
Many stallions become coarse with age but not so with Skip. He
really held his color and carried himself like a much younger horse.
I think his pedigree is great and very compatible with my mares.
We bred 10 mares to him the following spring we had 10 really nice colts
which sold well. Out of one of my best producing mares I kept this
colt FIVE DOZEN. With this years foal crop I know I made the right
decision. We are grateful to the Goodales for sharing Skip's
wonderful genes. |
