This is how it all started. I never had any spotted horses. We were quarter horse people. When I saw this colt in Noel Just's pasture in North Dakota I had never seen anything like him. He was loud colored, heavy muscled and good boned. At the time I thought I could geld him, ride him and resell him for a profit. In the course of handling the colt I realized I had never been around such an honest, willing, good natured horse. Long story short Roy didn't get gelded or sold. Of course if you have a stallion you need some mares and if you are raising appaloosas it just makes sense to have some POAs for the kids. This brings us to where we are today. Roy's pedigree is a good one with JOKER B top and bottom. He also has MIGHTY BRIGHT, BRIGHT EYES BROTHER, PEAVY'S BIMBO, BURNSIDES DAVID M and PRINCE PLAUDIT for appaloosa lines. On top he has a nice quarter horse line going to AQHA champion DOUBLE THISTLE by DOUBLE BID as well as COY"S BONANZA and JAGUAR. |
